Adopt a mala

The Well Fed Ohana’s Adopt A Mala project at Ma Farm in Waimanalo is designed to give Hawaii community groups and organizations an opportunity to prepare, plant, nurture and harvest Upland (also called Dryland) kalo.

Previous groups have been the UH Manoa B.E.S.T business school club, the Iroquois Point Elementary School.

Below is the list of the 12 Malas showing which ones are available to adopt and which ones are actively growing kalo.

Let us know what month you would like to plant in and we can go from there.
